Many patients will need to travel from outside Brisbane for their appointment or surgery. This can be a difficult time for patients and their family and we aim to make this as straightforward as possible. Where possible we will try and arrange an appointment and surgical procedure on consecutive days to avoid unnecessary travel to and from Brisbane. If you are required to see other specialists at your visit we will endeavour to co-ordinate all appointments appropriately.

There are various accommodation options close to the Wesley Hospital if you don’t have any family or friends in Brisbane with whom you can stay. These are owned and operated by the Wesley Hospital. Please contact the individual properties for rates. Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, cheque and cash are all accepted forms of payment.

The Wesley Rotary Lodge

This facility is located immediately opposite the main entrance to the hospital. There are 31 accommodation units. Each floor has a fully equipped kitchen and an adjacent lounge area. Full laundry facilities are available.

Lang Parade Lodge

Lang Parade Lodge is located on the corner of Cue Street and Lang Parade, about 200 metres from The Wesley Hospital. There are 25 self-contained units with kitchenette and microwave. Full laundry facilities are available.

Auchenflower Gardens

This facility is a 5 minute walk from The Wesley Hospital and offers family rooms which take up to 5 people. All units are fully equipped with tea making facilities, refrigerators, kitchenette and microwave, direct dial telephones and air-conditioning. The complex also features a swimming pool. Full laundry facilities are available.

Toowong Village Shopping Centre is close to The Wesley Hospital and has a wide range of convenience and specialty stores including David Jones and Coles. The Auchenflower train station is located within walking distance (100 metres) from The Wesley Hospital and provides easy access to Brisbane CBD and Western Suburbs.
